The annual Franklin Street Festival is held in late September in Rocky Mount and features crafts, vendors, food, and fun. The Grove is a Historic Antebellum home built in 1854 by John Stafford Hale and his wife, Margaret. The Depot Welcome Center is a historic train depot that is open to the public and offers a history of this area's railroad and trains.
