 The Manor House |
Warm hospitality in a comfortable atmosphere is offered in the setting of the 1824 Early Classic Revival Plantation home located in picturesque Lowesville, Virginia. (In 1824, your innkeepers would have greeted you with "How do you do, dear guest? We are right heartily glad to see you.") Rockmill Farm is located in Lowesville, 15 minutes away from Lovingston or Amherst and 45 minutes to Charlottesville, Lexington, or Lynchburg. The farm is on the Piney River near Woodson's Mill (circa 1794), and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and local farmlands surround the cottage and manor house. Fishing lakes, golf courses, wineries, and antique shops abound in a slow, relaxed, small town atmosphere that attracts many visitors to our area. |

The Manor House has two bedrooms with large sitting areas and attached baths. Breakfast is served in the downstairs parlor; coffee, tea & cookies are always available. Reservations are required. Two week notice is required for full refund. |

The Virginia Room interior design is reminiscent of a Virginia farmhouse the 1820's in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. |
The Garland Room décor reflects the furnishings of an early nineteenth century bedroom. |

| The Guest House | ||
| The Guest House is fully furnished with three bedrooms, a full kitchen, and lots of room to gather with friends and family. The guest house may be secured for weeks or weekends. Rates are $325 per weekend, or $500 for five nights. | The Guest House accommodates six, and may be rented by the weekend or week. The home has three bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, dining room, and large front porch for family and friends. Special discounts for repeat guests. |
