Welcome to Lady Rockingham, The Garden Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast, a beautifully appointed Victorian/Colonial built around the turn of the 20th Century. The Inn is located in the quaint historic town of Elkton, Virginia in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Elkton is nestled between the Blue Ridge mountains to the east and majestic Massanutten Peak to the west. The Romance begins at the Garden Gate as all paths lead to five outdoor garden rooms that include a wonderful wrap front porch complete with outdoor furniture, a waterfall garden and patio. Lady Rockingham, The Garden Gate Inn, is sited on a lovely, level, fenced acre with views of the Blue Ridge and Massanutten mountain ranges. As you stroll the grounds enjoy the tranquility and let your mind wonder. |

As you know, there are always a lot of things to do, so in lieu of doing, let Lady Rockingham be your retreat, your place of renewal. So bring yourself, your favorite book, or whatever... and enjoy! There are also two water garden features; the Waterfall Garden can be enjoyed from the front porch, as well as the surrounding patio area. The Patio Garden includes a patio area and a lovely lawn and garden area. You can also bring your walking shoes and bike! Elkton is sited at the foot of the Blue Ridge with the Shenandoah River less than two miles from the Inn. It is a nice level place to do both walking and biking, and the Park is also a short distance from the Inn, also a nice place to enjoy a picnic. |

Inside, the Romance continues with the 10 foot ceilings, circular staircase, a lovely spacious parlor with a fireplace and an exquisite dining area. All you need to do is show up and enjoy. The many fine amenities at the Garden Gate Inn will pamper and delight you. Come in and relax. Treat yourself to something special. Breakfast Dining at the Inn is always a celebration . . . Enjoy a quite moment in the lovely Parlor by the fireplace. Bring your favorite book and have a glass of lemonade while relaxing on the front porch. Each guest room has its own personality and also shares the Garden theme. All bedrooms have Central Air Conditioning; Individually controlled heat; TV/VCR; sound machine; a phone jack for your laptop; and wonderful, custom-made, top of the line mattress and box springs. |
