The Inn was constructed by John Taylow, architect, and one of the original
signers of The Declaration of Independence. In the 1800's it served as
the home of the Mayor of Fredericksburg, Richard Johnston The Richard
Johnston Inn still reflects the charm and grace of a past era, while
providing all of the amenities of today for the comfort of our guests.

The city of Fredericksburg has over two hundred years of our nation's history, beginning with George Washington's boyhood home, Ferry Farm, which is located just across the Rappahannock River. As you continue through town there are historic homes and museums to explore as well as the Fredericksburg Battlefield, Confederate Cemetery, churches, and many other interesting sites. Among these are local wineries.
We answer the phones between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. EST., or you may email us inquiring about availability.
