 Charlottesville, Virginia (VA) Bed & Breakfast: Thirteen lodging rooms and suites with fireplaces and private baths (eight with Jacuzzis). B&B rates from $195 to $350 per couple (includes wine and snacks on arrival, wine reception, and full country breakfast-in-bed or in the dining room). Prie fixe four course candlelight dinners are available weekends and most weekdays at $49 per person (plus optional wine, staff gratuities, and 7% VA sales and lodging taxes are not included). Special rates are available for small conferences and Garden Wedding Receptions for up to 200 persons.

Accommodations are in the restored outbuildings dating from 1699 to 1850 with their beamed ceilings, and squeaking floors and all with cozy working fireplaces and private baths, most with double Jacuzzis. Or in the manor house dating from 1732 with additions in 1840 and the 1880's with antique furnishings and quilts, the master bedroom with a private verandah overlooking the grounds.

In the late afternoon delightful smells from the kitchen mingle with the sweet, clear country air...aaaah, to be in Virginia in the Summer (or Winter, Spring or Fall)... Each day at Prospect Hill begins with a full country breakfast served on a tray in the privacy of your own guest room or in the main dining room which offers an opportunity to visit with other guests.

Policies:
  • Guests may check-in anytime after 3 p.m. (or earlier by request). Check-out time is 11 a.m. unless other times have previously been arranged.
  • Dinner is served at 8 PM on Fri and Sat and at 7 PM Sun thru Thurs.
  • Our four course pre-fixe dinners at tables for two are available by reservation most evenings at $49 per person and include our pre-dinner wine reception and the complete dinner including dessert. Our pre-dinner wine reception is offered one-half hour before the dinner bell rings.
  • Breakfast is served between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. each morning either on a tray to your room or in the dining room.
  • Two night minimum stays are usually required for Saturdays and holidays.
  • Single night reservations are OK all other days.
  • Special rates are available for small conferences and Garden Wedding Receptions for up to 200 persons.
  • Reservation deposits will be forfeited if you arrive after the date specified or depart before the final date of your reservation.
  • Full refunds with no service charge will be made only if cancelled or changed fourteen (14) days in advance of arrival date or, if less than fourteen days, if the room is reserved by another party.
  • It must be understood that your deposit insures you that your accommodations will be available as confirmed and also insures us that the accommodations are sold as confirmed. Therefore, when situations arise that necessitate your cancellation less than 14 days in advance, for example for illness or bad weather, we most certainly do sympathize, but we must maintain a business policy. Your deposit will not be refunded unless the room can be rebooked.
  • Booking the entire inn for weddings, conferences, etc. requires 60 days notice of cancellation.
