Introduction
Your breathing slows - your shoulders relax - you immediately
sense the serenity of your surroundings. You have arrived at
Nottingham Ridge Bed & Breakfast. Reflecting the beauty and charm
of Virginia's historic eastern shore, this lovely home boasts a
private secluded beach on the Chesapeake Bay, bordered by tall
trees, sand dunes, and abundant wildlife. Sunsets are spectacular.
Our beach is a great spot for swimming, crabbing, beach combing
and relaxing. Runners and bikers will love the long streches of
safe flat paved roads. Located in the Eastern Flyway, Nottingham
Ridge is a birdwatcher's paradise. Bald eagles, blue heron, pelicans,
shore birds, and falcons are a few of the resident species.
Guests can savor breakfast on the screened porch overlooking the
bay while watching boats
and birds. Cooler times are spent by a
crackling fire. Visitors to Nottingham Ridge can look forward to
an informal, relaxed atmosphere with emphasis on the small details
that create a memorable stay.
"A mixture of sounds, seabirds and
songbirds, whispering winds through
the trees, the soft sounds of
waves on the shore.
Endless walks on a beach by the
pristine waters of the bay,
sunsets and whip...wills.

reminiscent of the Williamsburg tradition.
