Charles City, Virginia (VA) Bed and Breakfast: A short drive west of Williamsburg and east of Richmond, along Historic Route 5 (a scenic Byway), will bring you to this 850-acre James River plantation B&B property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Relax in the peace and quiet, hear the birds sing as you enjoy our swimming pool, game room with 1920's pool table & piano, three porches, hammock, horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, birdwatching and see the beauty of the stars at night.

Guest Rooms/Rates

The Magnolia Room - This lovely room overlooks the centuries-old Magnolia tree and pool. It features a Canopied Queen Rice Bed and private bath with shower. Available as a suite (optional).

Maids Quarters - A small quaint room connecting to the Magnolia Room with a double bed.

The Sheridan Room - This bed chamber features a magnificent Queen tester bed belonging to Edmund Ruffin, circa 1810 - 1840, (very high). General Sheridan's desk is in the room, and there is also a reading area with chaise lounge. Private bath with shower.

The Rose - A beautiful, spacious bed chamber featuring a Queen canopy bed, and an antique armoire measuring 7'x7' with a diamond dust mirror in the center. Fireplace in room. Private bath wih shower.

The Federal Room - A lovely room featuring an old-fashioned Queen Iron & Brass bed and décor of the plantation's Federal period. Private bath with tub/shower and fireplace.

Rates: $115 -$140 per night and subject to 4.5% sales tax.
Deposit required within 1 week of making reservation.
Cancellation Policy: Deposits will be returned, less a 10% handling fee, if cancellations are made at least 14 days prior to the reservation date, or if the room is subsequently reserved by another party. Deposits will be forfeited if guests make an early departure. Our policy insures that reserved accommodations are enjoyed and that prospective guests are not needlessly turned away. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
No refunds on cancelled Holiday bookings or during October, November and December.
Available for group bookings, weddings and special events. Non-refundable deposit required.
Check-in: 3:00 p.m.; Check-out: 11:00 a.m.
