Mountain Laurel Inn is a Queen Anne Victorian home built between 1901 and 1903. This property was part of a much larger tract of land owned by the Rambo family, one of the founding families of Damascus. The interior is rich with original wood panels and wood details reminiscent of the quality craftsmanship of days gone by. You will be warmly welcomed at the Mountain Laurel Inn - the only B&B in the area with an outdoor pool!

Our rooms are named for members of the Rambo family: Florence Rambo was post mistress of Damascus from 1897 to 1914 and did bookkeeping for the Lincoln Furniture Company. She was never late to work, as the post office was located on the premises and the furniture company was across the road. Her sister, Lillie Rambo Scott, along with her two young daughters, moved in following the death of Lillie's husband. Lillie's daughters, Ruth Scott Keller and Francis Scott grew up in the house. William D. Rambo was Florence and Lillie's father, and the Sisters' Grandpa.
