Please join us for a gourmet Virginia wine country Inn Cooking School featuring the sophisticated southern cuisine of The Inn at Meander Plantation, an Orange VA bed and breakfast located near Montpelier. These two-day classes teach recipes and techniques for sumptuous, elegant, and fun meals.

Classes are led by our talented chef and Suzie Blanchard, executive chef/owner of the Inn. Suzie is a 23 year veteran instructor, and formerly food editor of 40 suburban Chicago weekly newspapers.

• One Day Cooking School Package: lunch, dinner, classes, and class materials: $125 per person plus taxes and gratuities.

• Bed and Breakfast Package: lodging, meals and classes, and class materials: $850 for two persons/ $500 for one person plus taxes and gratuities. Ask your innkeeper for the great discount offered on lodging for the night before or after Cooking School.

The Inn at Meander Plantation introduces the Virginia Wine Academy at our gracious and historic Madison County country inn. Named 2007 Restaurant of the Year by the VA Wine Growers Association, the inn’s restaurant has always featured Virginia wines on its menu – and now we’ve created an all-inclusive package to celebrate these wonderful wines with our guests.

The innovative experiential learning vacation will appeal to novices who want to know more about wine, as well as connoisseurs looking for a fun wine-centered experience. Virginia wine industry experts will share their knowledge from grapes to glass, with emphasis on tastings, food pairings, winery tours and even hands-on work in a vineyard.
