Introduction
Circa 1929
We invite you to come to Poquoson, "The Waterman's" country. Recorded in the English land patent issued to Captain Christopher Calthrope April 26, 1631. Poquoson is the oldest city in Virginia to have used the same name continuously.
The Martin-Wilson House was built in 1929 by Mr. Herbert Martin. The Sears & Roebuck House, also an antique shop, has been renovated and enlarged to reflect a true Victorian atmosphere.
