With 4200 acres, Marriott Ranch has countless opportunities for outdoor recreation. Activities range from horseback riding to deer hunting. New for the 2009 season we are excited to offer our Virginia Quail Hunt Package. Inn guests can feel free to hike throughout the property in search of the perfect spot for a picnic lunch. In the winter, be sure to bring your sleds, as the grounds provide ample hills for sledding. Wildlife abounds here at the Ranch and guests should keep a lookout for white tail deer, red fox, black bear and our own family of Bald Eagles. On a clear day guests can even see Skyline Drive, which is a short drive away and provides access to the Appalachian Trail. Special promotions and packages are available during the year for both corporate and individual guests looking for a unique experience. Horseback Riding Enjoy the out-west atmosphere with back-east convenience for some of the finest western-style horseback riding in the area. Located just fifty miles west of the Capital Beltway, the Marriott Ranch offers a variety of horse-related activities, none more popular than our ninety-minute trail rides across parts of our beautiful 4,200-acre working cattle ranch. Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, riders will enjoy themselves whether riding through pastures, across creeks, in peaceful woods or among grazing cattle. Deer Hunting The Marriott Ranch 3 day whitetail deer hunting packages are perfectly designed for individual outings or group retreats and are tailored for successful guided fair chase hunts. The Marriott Ranch staff will provide the professionalism and hospitality you would find at any other Marriott facility. We limit the number of hunters to no more than 8 per day, each of whom can choose from over 50 designated deer stands or blinds strategically located throughout our 4,200 acres of hardwood forests, open fields, wetlands and brush cover. Several food plots have been planted to draw deer onto our property, and to create a variety of traffic patterns for the deer to follow. Our guests undoubtedly appreciate the level of service provided through our 2 to 1 hunter to guide ratio. Our hunters enjoy comfortable lodging, wonderful cuisine and an assorted array of beverages to enjoy after hunting. Our number one objective is to provide a safe, memorable deer hunting experience for our clients while they enjoy the comforts of home . . . or even better! Bird Hunting Marriott Ranch bird hunting packages are perfectly suited for various schedules. Whether you hunt and choose to stay overnight in our comfortable accommodations complete with delicious meals and refreshing beverages or want to experience great hunting just for the day, we will make arrangements that best suit your needs. You can depend on Marriott Ranch staff to provide the professionalism and hospitality you have come to expect from Marriott. We limit the number of bird hunters to no more than four per day and transportation is provided to designated areas where birds have been placed in various cover. Watching the dogs work the birds is almost as entertaining as the hunt itself! |
