Introduction
Welcome to Longacre, a fine Bed and Breakfast located in the heart of Virginia; Appomattox - Where our Nation Reunited. We welcome you to come and stay and enjoy the beauty and serenity of our unmatched three acres of gardens, surrounded by Boxwoods and one of the largest Magnolia Trees in the south. Built in 1933, Longacre is the essence of an English Tudor home. Hidden behind a brick entry wall and antique guard gates, you will lose yourself in the splendor of it all.
We have lived in Appomattox all of our lives and know the exciting history the area has to offer. Being centrally located in the state of Virginia, you will have access to many sites within a short drive. We know you will find that your visit to our community will create lasting memories and we look forward to having Longacre be a part of them. One of the most delicious parts of being a guest at Longacre is breakfast. We offer a wide variety of fresh home-baked goods, homemade pancakes, cereals, quiche, and fresh fruit. With breakfast we serve coffee, tea, and fresh juice. We are happy to serve other breakfast foods if you request them in advance. We are also happy to accommodate any special dietary needs, as well; we ask only that you give us advance notice of any such needs.
We welcome our guests to enjoy one of our living rooms or the den to relax, read a book, watch some TV or mingle with the other guests. High speed Internet access is available in the den. Tea is available all day in the dining room. In the evening, cozy down in the Welcome Room with a cup of coffee and homemade cookies offered each evening.

ahead of time to schedule a special event in the courtyard.
Special Events & Weddings
With over two acres of gardens & Boxwood-framed courtyards, Longacre provides many possible settings for your special event from weddings and anniversaries to bridal showers and teas.
The fountain courtyard can accommodate up to a 200 seated dinner party and can be tented. The grounds are available alone or with the house. A full buyout package is available including 2 nights, the grounds, the Carriage house and sleeping accommodations for up to 18 guests. Outside catering and decoration required; however we have the perfect recommendations.
Special PackagesThe Civil War Special Longacre is a mere two miles from the famous Appomattox Courthouse National Historical Park--where our nation reunited! On Sunday through Thursday, stay at our Bed and Breakfast for two nights and receive 25% off the second night! Also includes homemade breakfast each morning for two.
