A B&B at Llewellyn Lodge is celebrating its 25th year of outstanding hospitality in 2010. The outstanding convenience, comfort, value and Blue Ribbon full breakfasts from a menu bring many a repeat visitor. Guests find its great in-town location the perfect home base for exploring Historic Lexington and all the surrounding countryside. Parking is off-street in our large lighted lot. The walk from the Lodge to Washington & Lee University, Virginia Military Institute, museums, historic sites, shops, Visitor Center and restaurants is most pleasant as you walk down tree-lined Main by many historic homes. Off-street parking is provided at the Lodge, free high speed Internet service is available. The campuses of both colleges join the layout of the town is perfect for walking. Lexington has tons of Civil War history, it's a must see town for its buffs. The Historic District is well preserved.

Lee are both buried here. Horse drawn carriage rides are offered to give you an historical glimpse of the town. Our General's package features guided historical tours of the town. Lexington is located at the intersection of I-64 and I-81; the Blue Ridge Parkway is 11 miles away. Natural Bridge is 10 minutes away. The town sets in the Valley surrounded by the very scenic Allegheny and Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of the finest trout fishing water www.vatrout.com in the country may be found in them. Your hosts, John and Ellen Roberts, have excelled at B&B hospitality for 23 years, the Lodge was founded in 1985. John, a Lexington native, was born in the "Stonewall" Jackson House, formerly the town's hospital, now a museum with daily tours. He is a veritable treasure trove of information on the local area. His extensive and detailed Hiking and Trail Guide is sure to give you tons of ideas for exploring area trails and outdoors. Guests have logged many thousands of miles from the special, personalized guidance that he offers. Scenic drives and special interest destinations are also covered. His guided trout fishing trips with Instruction leave lots of lifetime memories.
Ellen is an avid golfer and is known for her culinary skills in the region. She won a recent Blue Ribbon for best Omelet maker in Virginia. Her breakfasts and hospitality have bought many, many repeat visitors. Unlike most B&Bs you are given menu with many selections to choose from as you enjoy the best breakfast around..Both of your hosts always take time to go over all the local information while you enjoy a cool summer drink on the porch swing or a warm winter drink in front of a roaring fire.
