The Lafayette Inn is just ten minutes from the Shenandoah National Park and a half-hour from the University of Virginia and other historic and interesting sites in the Charlottesville, Shenandoah Valley and Piedmont, Virginia area. Arrive at The Lafayette and enjoy an in room check-in. We will have your gas fireplace blazing and lights set romantically. After you are settled, come down to the Tavern and enjoy one of our specially selected wine flights and Chef prepared appetizers. Watch the sun set over the mountains from the second story covered porch and then return to the dining room for an elegant dinner. Tempt yourself with our dessert sampler at the end! Then return to your romantic suite for the evening.

Large windows enhance the natural light and views of the town and surrounding countryside in all of the Inn’s rooms. Every room is furnished with antiques; most have their own fireplaces, and some with two! Upgraded linens, oversized towels, and locally produced soaps and shampoos are found in each room. Some rooms have cable television, wireless internet, while others intentionally remain void of them. Either way, relax and prepare yourselves for a quality, memorable experience. We have two deluxe rooms, two suites, one Penthouse double suite and also Dicey’s Cottage.

In the morning, after you have enjoyed the luxury of the oversized towels and robes, visit the Tavern and find it has been transformed to become the local "Coffee (and tea) house" in town. As our guest, enjoy a country style breakfast as part of your stay.
