Introduction
Nestled in the rolling checkered hills of the Shenandoah Valley is the historic 1852 heart-of-pine farmhouse built by Jacob Swartz, for his recent bride Lucinda Zirkle. The Swartz family home and Jacob's converted cobbler shop stand peacefully at the end of a tree shaded country lane overlooking the Shenandoah River's North Fork.
