| Introduction |
| Honey Shuck Cabin is located on a Historic Virginia Plantation Farm Site in central Virginia. The Cabin is newly constructed from 2 tobacco barns from an historic estate. The logs are all hand hewn, and date to 1830. But all modern conveniences are included. There are 2 main rooms; living-kitchen, bedroom and bath, with a loft that has two twin beds that convert into a king, gas log iron stove, satellite TV, phone and DSL internet service, front and back porches, central heat and air, 2 person shower with 3 shower heads, a champagne bubble claw foot tub, and luxury bedding. The cabin was built and decorated with beautiful, cozy comfort in mind, using antiques, and quilts. Other amenities include a DVD player, IPod Home, books of local interest, and bikes. Rates are $175 per night for 2 guest, and $225 per night for 4. |

Outside there are 196 acres to discover, with walking trails thru the woods, as well as along the river. If you don't want to walk the trails, use our Kawasaki Mule 2 seater to take in the farm sights. We are close to Wintergreen, Historic Appomattox, The Blue Ridge Mountains, The National D-Day Memorial, Leesville Lake, and Smith Mountain Lake. Take a guided canoe trip down the scenic Staunton River which borders our farm. Picnics are available with notice for an additional charge. The nightly rate includes breakfast brought to your door and an afternoon snack served on the patio or gazebo at the "big house", Riverview Manor! We also offer turn down service with a bedtime snack. We do not allow pets, but ours love to take walks on the farm! Beau, Lucky Girl, and Dixie Belle are all extremely friendly dogs. We also have an agreement with the local YMCA. Anyone staying at Honey Shuck Cabin at Riverview Manor Bed and Breakfast can utilize their facilities at no additional charge. This is an outstanding facility, aproximately 3 miles away, complete with everything needed to stay in shape as you travel, or work away from home, even a massage. |
