Introduction

High Laurel Inn offers panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley from several decks. The private and secluded (20'x20') appointed suites include queen beds with sitting areas, stocked in-room refrigerators, ceiling fans, gas-log fireplaces and private decks to enjoy the sunsets and sunrises. Large private baths include step-in showers. Enjoy our 6-person Sundance® hot tub with gorgeous views year-round. Adjoining the Shenandoah National Park and hiking trails, we are just a few steps away from a nature walk. Paines Run Trail ends at the bottom of the hill from High Laurel Inn.

Staunton, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg and Charlottesville boast an eclectic mix of restaurants, vineyards and microbreweries and antique shops...all an easy drive. Grand Cavern, listed as one of "America's top cavern adventure spots", is just minutes away.

Sunset Each morning, wake to a delicious full breakfast including a bounty of fresh-baked muffins or scones and a full entrée course of stuffed French Toast, Layered Egg Casserole or something else delightful Helen has created. Local fresh berries in-season and orange juice greet you in the morning. Flavorful, rich coffee can be enjoyed early at the main house or on several decks overlooking the Shenandoah Valley.

Meet the Innkeepers
Helen is an administrative secretary at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville. Among her many hobbies are cooking and flower gardening. Helen enjoys swimming, hiking and biking. James is a graduate of William & Mary College and retired to the Shenandoah Valley and acquired what is now High Laurel Inn.

Local points of interest are: The National Park Service with hiking literally at our doorstep. Kings Family Vineyard and Afton Vineyard are within an easy drive.

Several area colleges are located near High Laurel Inn: Bridgewater College, Eastern Mennonite College, James Madison College and Mary Baldwin and the University of Virginia.

During the month of October a two-night minimum is required (Friday and Saturday nights apply) and will be non-refundable.
