Goodstone Inn and Estate

Our Wedding Site is comprised of The Mansion Pool area and the adjacent Woodsy Garden. Both are located opposite The Carriage House, the centerpiece of the Inn. The ruins of the historic Goodstone Mansion include the ivy-covered façade and original arbors. The natural beauty of the estate’s rolling pastures, with the Blue Ridge Mountains and Farmstead in the distance, create a picturesque backdrop for a romantic wedding.

Wedding ceremonies at Goodstone are often conducted under the shade of towering 200-year-old trees in our tranquil Woodsy Garden. Your guests enter through arbors adorned with climbing plants and roses. Expansive shade beds filled with fragrant native flowers complete this idyllic bridal setting.

Goodstone's bridal services include a selection of tent rental companies, caterers, wedding coordinators, carriage companies, limousine services, photographers and floral designers. On-site catering for small bridal events can be arranged with Goodstone's chef. Continental and full breakfast are included in our daily room rates. Surround yourself with friends and family on a private estate where your every wish is our pleasure to fulfill.

Goodstone's wedding site has been custom designed to preserve its natural beauty and historic ambiance. It also provides complete functionality for tented bridal events. A rental 90-foot by 40-foot tent can be erected to span the pool and cover the lawn on both sides. This provides seating for a maximum of approximately 175 guests around The Mansion Pool. A variety of tents are also available from our local rental companies to accommodate smaller weddings.

Walled patio areas on both wings are also easily tented. A catering patio on the east wing offers direct service access to the main pool area. Our bandstand location is on the west wing patio and connects directly to a covered dance floor area. The original arbors and trellises shade the slate deck at the northern end of the pool. Each of the arbor’s supporting pillars is festooned with magnificent hanging flower baskets and climbing plants. A marquee easily connects each side of the pool deck across the arbors.
