Introduction
You will be more than welcomed when you enter Frog Hollow B&B and Turtle Creek Cottage. This historic home dates back to the 1800's. It was
completely renovated to offer guests fresh and comfortable lodging within a home decorated with casual elegance. Feel free to discover for yourself the unique and eclectic design elements of mixing the old with the new, and the traditional with the whimsical. These elements combine to make our home, and now your home, an interesting, stylish and friendly place. You'll find The Owl's Nest Gifts and Antiques barn located next door, a
wonderful place to get a last minute hostess gift or a lasting memento of your trip. Sit back and relax in our Garden Gazebo located under the 2nd largest box elder tree in Virginia. In the evening guest enjoy fine chocolates and refreshments in our new Atrium or take a dip in our outdoor hot tub.
Frog Hollow, located on a charming country road, is only five minutes from several Interstate highways, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown Lexington. We are very convenient for the shopping and dining in the Historic District, as well as, Washington and Lee University, Virginia Military Institute and the Virginia Horse Center.
Lexington is considered the Southern Gateway of the Shenandoah Valley. It is centrally located in a region that is spectacularly picturesque and rich in history. Some of our abundant attractions are the Natural Bridge, deep caverns, hiking, fishing, skiing, golfing, museums and wineries. Find out why people still head to this area for great finds in antiques and collectibles. Be sure to check out the artwork being produced in our area which continues to put Lexington and the Shenandoah Valley on the art lover's map.
Located on Greenhouse Road, a part of the original Turnpike into Lexington, is a site that was the scene of a Civil War action called "The Assault on Lexington". At the foot of what is known as Hunter Hill, cannons were placed and fired into Virginia Military Institute on June 11, 1864.
