Introduction
The Ebenezer House, a country chalet, was once the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Culpeper, Virginia, and was built in 1901. It was dismantled in 1984 by Richard Gordon, a well-known Madison, Virginia cabinet and furniture joiner, who moved the building to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in beautiful Madison County, near the Rapidan River, just off of US Route 29 onto 621 West. The Ebenezer House is located in Central Virginia's Fox Hunting and Beagling Country.
The house has recently been beautifully renovated and appointed with family antiques. The Great Room with a wood-burning stove consists of a formal living room, library with game table and a formal dining room opening on to the downstairs deck with a pond.
Upon arrival, guests are invited to tea, coffee, or a complimentary glass of Virginia wine. Rise in the morning to the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee, or tea and juice in the upstairs T.V. room at 7 am. Drink your coffee while watching the news or take your coffee out on the upstairs deck.
A country buffet breakfast is served in the formal dining room or on the downstairs deck, weather permitting. Breakfast consists of rolls, muffins, Eggs Benedict, pecan waffles, omelets, and a selection of juices, fresh fruits, and cereals. We serve all organic foods.
