The Eagle's Nest sits high on a wooded hilltop amongst five acres of natural beauty and mountain views. Our large country farmhouse offers 4 bedrooms, 2 sitting areas, and 2 large porches on which you can relax, swing, and rock. Our motto is ... "Come renew your youth like the eagles." We serve a full family style breakfast with coffee, tea, and juice. Each room has a private bathroom, a sitting area, and TV. We are located 3.5 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway on Conner Grove Road, just minutes from Chateau Morrisette Winery and Mabry Mill. Historic Buffalo Mountain is within a short distance of our home and is the highest point in Floyd County. The town of Floyd is home to many artists and musicians; the Country Store has Friday night Jamboree and Saturday night dances, the Jacksonville Arts Center displays various art works and hosts classes, and the local restaurants have live music on the weekends. Rocky Knob camp ground and picnic areas are just a short drive and Meadows of Dan is nearby.

Floyd County is certainly one of the most picturesque parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visiting Mabry Mill, at milepost 176, is a must. Château Morrisette Winery and Restaurant, at milepost 171, has wine tasting and tours. Floyd County is home for all types of artists. They regularly display their work at The Jacksonville Center, located just south of the town. There are hiking trails, picnic areas, breathtaking nearby Rocky Knob, Buffalo Mountain and Rock Castle Gorge. Golf courses are nearby and we are able to secure advanced tee times.
