Lightly spoon into butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg mixture and mix well:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp.salt
Spread flour mixture evenly in a 15" x 10" greased pan.
Spread 1 (21 oz can) of any fruit pie filling on top to within 1" of sides.
Spoon cheese mixture by teaspoonfuls on pie filling in 3 rows of 5 dividing the pan into 15 servings. DO NOT SPREAD.
Place maraschino cherry half on top of each dollop of cream cheese mixture if desided.
Bake 350 degreess for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Yield 15 servings.
