Step back to an era of relaxed elegance in the graciously restored 1850 Georgian Home. Buckley Hall Inn is just the place to get away from all the things that bring stress to your life. The Inn is located in Mathews Court House, Virginia, a small country town in the Chesapeake Bay area where you can while away the hours however you like. You can ride a bike to the beach, observe the over 200 documented species of birds in the Bethel Beach Nature Sanctuaryand see the New Point Comfort Light House. If boating is your interest, canoeing and kayaking are just minutes away. Offshore fishing or sightseeing trips to Chesapeake Bay locations can be arranged with local captains. For history buffs, we are located close to of many of Virginia's famous historic plantations, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. |

But, if you really want to just stop and relax, this is the place to be. Sit on the grand front porch under age-old oaks, rock a bit or read a book. Our library is well stocked for your reading pleasure. Yes, staying at Buckley Hall Inn is like stepping back in time, or going back home -- to get away from it all and just enjoy life without any hassles. We hope you will plan a visit soon. If you are attending some of our local events, we make a great location to enjoy them as well as our local attractions. Our romantic rooms are all furnished in 17th century reproductions, Queen Anne style, and provide "the most comfortable mattresses ever", luxurious linens, terry robes, milled soaps, and hair dryers. One room includes a whirlpool tub, two rooms have fireplaces. Morning brings the aroma of a hearty country breakfast which includes homemade breads, fresh fruit, and the oh-so-good featured entire for the day. This is served in the elegant dining room with the prettiest of china and crystal. |

The things to do or see when you leave the Inn include the beaches, biking, shopping, kayaking, dining, antiquing, light houses, crew regattas, Donk's Lil' ol' Opry, Concerts on the Bay or travel 30 - 40 minutes to visit Jamestown, Yorktown and Williamsburg. Inn Amenities

| The Cobbs Creek Room | This room offers twin beds. A Windsor chair, a wing back chair and a highboy provide the perfect setting for an old-fashioned country feeling.
