The Babcock House is a bed and breakfast inn and restaurant located in historic Appomattox, Virginia, minutes from the famous surrender site which ended the Civil War.

We offer deluxe accommodations at a very reasonable price, gracious hospitality and elegant dining in a friendly and informal atmosphere. We are less than three miles from the Appomattox Courthouse National Historic Park where General Robert E. Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia to General Grant. The park is the original site of the village of Appomattox and all of the buildings have been restored to the 1865 surrender date. Our turn of the century inn is just a few blocks from the county visitor’s center and is at the center of the 19th Century Homes Walking Tour.

This restored, turn of the century inn has five bedrooms and one suite. All rooms have private baths, cable television, ceiling fans, and air conditioning. A full breakfast is included with all room rates.
