Breakfast is a special and memorable affair at Bellavista B&B.
- It's the welcoming place settings with colorful napkins and whimsical dishware.
- It's the laughter and sharing of vacation adventures as guests gather around the table.
- It's the sunshine, the tropical breezes, and the dazzling view.

Making Mornings Memorable...
Our breakfast each morning is lovingly prepared and creatively presented. After a prelude of island roasted coffee and assorted teas, we serve a "frappe" made with fresh fruit and juice which is frozen and blended. Our favorite flavors include pineapple-passionfruit, mango-banana, and pomegranate-strawberry.
Our first course begins with a fruit plate featuring tropical fruits, melons, and colorful berries. We also bake a fresh batch of our signature "mini muffins" - a bit-size indulgence! Our special recipes include pina colada, mango, and spiced pumpkin mini muffins. Some days we start with our special house recipe "Calypso Crunch" granola or we feature it in a parfait topped with yogurt and fresh fruit.
A Special Way to Begin Your Day...
Our main course specialties include banana waffles, ginger pancakes with mango sauce, crispy coated french toast, our original ham and swiss omelet roll, a wholesome spinach-feta quiche, mini parmesan artichoke casseroles, and the crowd-pleasing cheese blintz breakfast cheesecake. We gladly accommodate vegetarians and guests on special diets.
Presenting Our Cookbook...
And if you want to enjoy a special Bellavista-style breakfast at home with family and friends, we have a keepsake cookbook featuring our favorite recipes along with color photos. It's a perfect memento to bring back memories of your stay at Bellavista B&B! -

As you enter through our front gate, you gaze upon the view which inspired the name of our hillside mini-estate. It truly is a "Bellavista" -- a beautiful panoramic view of the historic town and harbor of Charlotte Amalie. It is a captivating view since it is so dynamic with cruise ships, yachts, sailboats, and seaplanes visiting. With binoculars in hand, you can preview a number of historical sites from the pool deck area before you stroll into town to visit them.

An Inviting Tropical Oasis...
Our swimming pool is surrounded by a large deck and patio area where you can find a sunny or shady spot to recline and relax to the sounds of island music, chirping birds, and calmly cascading water from the pool's fountain.
The deck area is bordered with flower boxes, and the hillside behind it features terraced tropical gardens. Here you can stroll along a pebbled path where you'll encounter colorful bougainvillea and hibiscus, fragrant jasmine and plumeria, and a diverse array of palms and fruit trees. A hammock, hanging between two trees on the top terrace, offers a perfectly peaceful place for you to relax and savor the splendor of the scenery below.
Colorful Caribbean Charm...
Bellavista B&B was build in the 1930's in simplistic West Indian style and enhanced over the years by a number of creative and well-endowed owners. Reflecting a true Caribbean palette, the house is coral-colored with green roofing and white lattice trim. The interior features high, old-fashioned, slatted wood ceilings along with fancy, colorful woodwork, and custom-designed louvered doors.
The living room is artfully appointed with a marble floor, comfortable sofas, and large mirrors along the back wall reflecting the harbor view. This room suitably becomes an open-air, covered patio area by day as two walls of doors open it to the deck. It's a great haven from which to escape the sun without sacrificing outdoor ambiance while you rest, repose, or read--perhaps from the diverse collection of books in our library.
Make Yourself At Home...
We begin the day by serving breakfast in our bright and spacious dining room surrounded by grand bookcases endowed with the color of sunshine. There is also a small breakfast table for two on the balcony overlooking the harbor.
A hallway with an enchanting mural of palm trees leads to our four guest rooms. On the right side, you will find "Coquille Collage" and "Bambooshay", our larger rooms which have balconies overlooking the town and harbor. Our "J'ouvert Gardens" room is on the left with a small patio area behind the house, and "Palm Tree Melee" is the cozy corner room located at the end of the hallway. Each has a unique style and different layout but all include our complete array of amenities.
We look forward to meeting you when you visit Bellavista Bed & Breakfast!

Your visit to St. Thomas presents many possibilities for excursions, exploration, and pure enjoyment! We've been fortunate to experience so much of what our island has to offer and are delighted to make suggestions...
A Day at Magen's Bay...
This premiere beach is nearby on the island's northside. You can relax in a lounge chair or enjoy a variety of watersports activities. The beach bar offers frozen tropical drinks, and the neighboring concession stand serves lunch and light snacks. There is also a bountiful bathing suit boutique. The beach is nearly a mile long and is ideal for walking or jogging, and the neighboring Nature's Conservancy Trail provides a quiet shady canopy for hiking.
Find Fish...
Colorful schools of tropical fish and sensational underwater seascapes are the highlight of Coki Beach. It is a perfect place for snorkeling, and a dive shop on the beach offers SCUBA for beginners and certified divers. If you prefer to stay dry, the adjoining marine park, Coral World, has an underwater observatory tower and aquarium exhibits. And if catching fish was what you had in mind, there is a fine fleet of sportfishing boats based in Red Hook offering full and half-day charters.
Carefree Cruising...
A variety of sailboats and powerboats are available if you would like to spend a day on the water visiting quiet cays and secluded beaches. Most chartered excursions include snorkeling stops and lunch. The sunset cocktail cruises are a lovely way to end the day.
Dare to Drive...
If you're the adventurous type, a rental jeep provides the freedom and flexibility to explore our island to the fullest. Remember to drive on the left! On your sightseeing adventures, be sure to visit the scenic overlooks at Drake's Seat, Paradise Point, and Mountain Top.
Best Stops on Beach-Hop...
There are many beautiful beaches on St. Thomas and you are welcome to beach-hop and find your personal favorite. It may be Sapphire Beach where the water truly reflects its name and sea turtles serenely swim. Or Secret Harbour which is quaint and quieter and has a neighboring reef for snorkeling. Or Smith Bay Park where locals and savvy visitors go to enjoy the surf but avoid the crowds. Each has a special allure waiting to be discovered.
Highlighting History...
If you wish to learn more about the colorful history of our island, historical walking and driving tours are offered regularly. You can walk through restored Danish residences and historic sites on Blackbeard's Hill, visit the botanical gardens at St. Peter Greathouse, savor scenic overlooks around the island, and learn about Caribbean architecture, West Indian culture, tropical flora, and local lore.
Eco-Excursions...
A thrilling outdoor adventure is offered on the island's new zipline course "Tree Limin' Extreme" which is set high in the rainforest on St. Peter Mountain with spectacular views of Magen's Bay, St. John, the BVI and beyond. Virgin Islands Ecotours offers kayak, snorkeling, and hiking excursions in the Mangrove Lagoon and also to Hassel Island--a small island in the harbor which is now part of the National Park.
Sojourn on St. John...
A trip to St. John is a wonderful way to enjoy a day. Ferries depart from the nearby Charlotte Amalie waterfront and from Red Hook on the island's East End. The exquisite National Park beaches are easily accessible via safari bus shuttles. At picturesque Trunk Bay, you can snorkel along a unique underwater trail. Hiking trails also abound throughout the National Park. The popular Reef Bay Hike visits sugar mill ruins and prehistoric petroglyph carvings.
Visit Virgin Gorda...
If you enjoy island hopping, Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands is another excursion possibility. The Baths at Virgin Gorda are a spectacular site. Huge boulders on the beach form pools, grottos, and caverns for swimming, hiking, and climbing. Ferries and charter boats provide trips to the "B.V.I."-just remember to bring your passport.
Tropical Tee Off...
If you are an avid golfer, we have a challenging course at Mahogany Run. It features a spectacular series of scenic holes overlooking the Atlantic surf. They have rental clubs and shoes available.
Superlative Shopping...
Charlotte Amalie is the renowned shopping mecca of the Caribbean. Here you will find discount prices on jewelry, watches, liquor, and perfume. Everything is duty-free with no sales tax. Also, you can view intriguing and reasonably priced art at a gamut of galleries on the island. Our local boutiques display colorful Caribbean clothing and tropical gift items.
Delectable Dining...
Dining on the island is a delightful treat. There are a number of fine dining restaurants as well as casual cafes with specialties ranging from fresh seafood and continental cuisine to eclectic and local fare. We have a collection of menus for you to peruse and, fortunately, many of your best options are only minutes away.
Restful Relaxation...
While there is so much to see and do, relaxation is an integral part of island getaway and it is highly recommended! Whether it is napping at the beach, serenely floating on a raft in the pool, savoring a shady spot and a great book, indulging in a massage, or simply daydreaming in the hammock, we encourage you to relax, refresh, recharge and enjoy the essence of "island time"!
