Stewart Inn, our Wausau bed and breakfast, is happy to offer guests pet-friendly Wisconsin lodging. With its proximity to the Wisconsin River and numerous parks, the Stewart Inn makes an especially great headquarters for guests who enjoy hiking with their dogs. All well-behaved pets are welcome at the Stewart Inn. Pets are allowed in Rooms 1, 2 and 3.

Stewart Inn Pet Agreement

Our pet agreement is meant to ensure the comfort of all guests and to protect people, pets and property. Please review the following policies and be prepared to indicate your acceptance by signing a copy when you check-in.

• Advance reservations are required for all pets.
• Guest pets should be socialized with humans and other animals. Destructive, aggressive, or uncontrollably noisy pets will not be tolerated at the Inn.
• All shots for your pet must be current.
• Your pet must be on a flea prevention program.
• Pets cannot be dropped off early (before check-in) or left after check-out.
• Pets must be leashed at all times when not in your room.
• Pets are not allowed on the furniture in the common areas.
• If left alone in a guest room, your pet must be in a kennel and must be quiet.
• You will be liable if your pet damages Inn property. Let us know if there are any mishaps. We'll try repairs (and we're pretty good at them) before adding to your bill. There is a protective cover on your bed to protect the white duvet. To prevent scratching the acrylic, pets should be kept out of guest room showers.
• If one of those inevitable "accidents" occurs, please clean up after your pet immediately or notify an innkeeper. Cleaning supplies are located in the maid's closet between rooms 3 and 4.
• If your pet is dirty after an outing, you are encouraged to come in the back door and use the dog shower in the basement.
• Dog owners should pick up after their pets. A small garbage can for dog waste is located next to the back door. Let an innkeeper know if you need bags. Also, please keep dogs out of the gardens and try to discourage them from urinating on the evergreens.
