Built in 1994, innkeepers Jean and Michael Langer opened the inn on April 1st, 1995.The inn is located in a quiet country setting on their 340 acre farm. This sophisticated yet rustic Log Inn offers 10 guest rooms with private baths, a large double sided fieldstone fireplace dividing the dining room and sitting room, a private special events room, and a wrap around porch/deck for added dining and lounging pleasure. There are also trails and beautiful scenic locations on the land.Fine art and photography are exhibited everywhere and eclectic interiors artfully blend antique, vintage, and contemporary furnishings resulting in an unusually interesting and wonderfully comfortable and casual environment.
The "silver" in the name Silver Star represents silver halide - the chemical compound of silver with a halogen (for example, silver iodide, silver bromide or silver chloride). These compounds are responsible for recording a visual image on a photographic emulsion as a result of exposure to light.
