    Lenora's Garden ViewThis room is named for Lenora Kester, the Doctor's wife who lived in the house from 1899 to 1954 and especially enjoyed her gardens. The room features a Victorian floral decor, making this a perfect room to relax and reflect. A king-size full-canopied iron bed, large private bath, English Art-Nouveau shower tiles and wicker furniture create a peaceful, atmosphere. Surrounding the corner whirlpool are hand-cast plaster cartouches depicting morning and night. Located on the second floor.

    Alsie's RetreatOur coziest room, Alsie's early American decor will take you to a simpler, quieter time...the quilted queen-sized iron bed sits calmly amid antiques: the crackled pitcher and bowl, faded immigrant's trunk, and Scandinavian memoirs are all reminders of what might have been Alsie Peterson's, the home's Danish domestic servant in the 1870's.

    Her room would have been a welcomed respite after her household duties, a comfortable space to call her own! With a private entrance and small full bath, make Alsie's Retreat your personal retreat!

    William Thompson RoomNamed after the builder of our home and decorated in the Italianate style, the William Thompson Room contains rich burgundy wallpaper, regal carpet, hand-painted lincrusta frieze and ceiling medallion. Central to the room is a queen-size half-canopied iron bed with pillow-topped mattress. The adjoining private bath features classic-styled fixtures, ceramic floor tile and six-foot double whirlpool, giving this room a sense of royalty. Located on the second floor.

    Enter your room through Doctor Kester's re-created turn-of-the-century study - medical journals and top hat neatly hung up, a crank wall phone and calendar situated as if the doctor just returned from a house call. Step under the arch and into the bedroom with Rococo gold and cream wallpaper, queen-size brass bed with cast cherubs, past the remote-controlled fireplace, and into your cozy private bath. This bath has the best of both worlds with its large two-person shower featuring separate controls, body sprays, and the hand-made English tile version of "A Coign of Vantage" by Lawrence Alma-Tadema make this the ultimate showering experience! Step around the corner to enjoy the large double whirlpool bath, Doc Kester's remedy to all your ailments! Located on the first floor.

    • Check in: 3-5 pm. After 5 pm, please call or email to arrange for late check-in.
    • Check out: 11 am
    • Cancellations: Making a reservation at a Bed and Breakfast is not the same as making one at a hotel. Due to our limited rooms, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of rebooking a room. For this reason, we have the following cancellation policy.
      • A cancellation made 14 days or more will be charged a $20.00 administration fee per room.
      • A cancellation made 13 days or less will be charged in full. If we are able to rebook your room to another guest, we
      • will provide a refund minus the $20.00 administration fee.
      • No-shows will be charged for the entire stay.
      • A group booking of two or more rooms requires a 30-day notice of cancellation.
    • All rates are for double occupancy. (A roll-away bed is available for an additional $15/night. Please inquire about availability.)
    • Due to the historic nature of our building and for the safety and comfort of our guests, we do not allow smoking or candle burning in the Bed and Breakfast. Guests smoking in the Bed and Breakfast will be charged a minimum of $200 fee and up to return any rooms to a non-smoking status.
