Advocating the use of local food and cooking from scratch has been Jean's passion for several years. Many of our friends and neighbors are farmers and we are loyal farmers market shoppers. Having regular contact with farmers makes it easy to know where to source our local and in-season breakfast ingredients from. Our guests enjoy a hearty, gourmet breakfast including mostly organic ingredients with fresh eggs from our hens and nearly 100% local ingredients. One of our featured breakfasts includes a first course of house-made organic apple-sauce served with hot blueberry muffins and locally roasted coffee. For the main course, Vegetarian Eggs Benedict with wilted spinach and sauteed mushrooms topped with our fresh hollandaise sauce and sprinkled with parsley. For our meat eaters we add a few slices of organic and grass-fed bacon.
Token Creek Eco-Inn periodically offers workshops on a variety of sustainable living topics such as food preservation, organic permaculture, tree pruning and raising chickens.
