The perfect bed and breakfast to enjoy a romantic get-a-away, anniversary or just a break from it all. We are located just south of historic Algoma, first settled in 1851 in what is now the heart of north central Wisconsin wine country. Door County begins 10 minutes drive north.
A lot has happened to 'at the Waters Edge' over the last year as we transitioned owners. Our suites are themed, each one unique. The themes are playful, enjoyable, and filled with memorabilia. Suites are generously sized, feature private entrances, private full bath, refrigerator, microwave, WiFi, TV, DVD player (with a library of movies for you to borrow) and 'on-the-lake' views. All have a deck and chairs from which to relax, enjoy the shoreline views and maybe even do nothing but sit and read the day away.
We boast a large private stone beach for strolling, terraced lawns with several seating areas and hammocks for that very casual moment to start or end a perfect day.
We've expanded the Lake Michigan-side deck by 200% and we've begun planning out the now cleared sloping yard, expanding the view tremendously. An easier walk to our beach!
Start your day at our coffee bar with a piping hot mug of some of the best coffee around.
The breakfast room seats up to fourteen people. Start with a mug of coffee or mix up a flavored coffee from provided syrups and other goodies then find a getaway space among terraced lawns, chairs, hammocks, deck, your suite and enjoy morning's start. Coffee is out by 7:30 a.m. Breakfast is served at 8 a.m. Our specialties vary; Wisconsin Cheese Soufflé, Apple Pancakes, Peach Praline French Toast and other delicious eats to start your way to a fabulous day.
