    The Mountainstate Association of Bed & Breakfasts (MABB) was formed in 1991 to provide you, the discerning traveler, with the highest standards of comfort, cleanliness and safety as you tour wild and wonderful West Virginia. Even though each bed and breakfast differs greatly from the next, the members of MABB subscribe to a set of standards established by the association, and each is inspected and approved so guests may be confident they will be staying in a satisfying atmosphere.

    Our members are located throughout the state so that you can enjoy a wide variety of natural resources and scenery, cultural events and heritage -- and our genuine and friendly people. From clear lakes and rivers and mountain vistas to historic towns that abound with art, music, crafts and restaurants, you are sure to find one of our B&Bs in a setting that suits you.

    The best way to see our beautiful and diverse state is to travel through the region staying at one of member inns, ranging from rustic cabins and woodsy lodges to elegant mansions and comfortable farms. West Virginia has so many exciting activities all year round and in all areas of the state that it can be difficult to decide where to start. Whether your trip is for a romantic getaway far from the crowds, for an invigorating communion with nature while hiking, biking or rafting, for unique dining and shopping in a quaint small town, or for revisiting the nation’s roots in one of our historic towns, you can be assured of combining gracious hospitality with friendly hosts and local expertise by staying at an inspected and approved MABB member inn.
