Read MoreWilliamsburg is full of things to do - visit the Restored Area, just a pleasant walk away, watch the kids squeal on the Griffon at Busch Gardens, take a cool splash at Water Country, shop to your heart's content at Williamsburg's many outlets, and lots more. We'll be glad to help you plan your visit to the area - just give us a call! Museums Muscarelle Museum of Art at the College of William and Mary - The Muscarelle Museum of Art was accredited by the American Association of Museums in 1988 and received subsequent accreditation in 2000. The museum was the first university/college museum of art in the Commonwealth of Virginia to be accredited by the AAM, a distinction held until 2002. Its mission is to provide a rich cultural resource for the College and to pursue an active role in the overall cultural life of the region through collections; outreach and educational programs; research and study; and the presentation of exhibitions and works of art. It is accredited by the American Association of Museums, a distinction held by fewer than 5 percent of museums in the U.S.
The Mariner's Museum - You’ll find one of the largest international maritime history museums filled to the crow’s nest with prized artifacts that celebrate the spirit of seafaring adventure. Explore over 60,000 square feet of gallery space with rare figureheads, handcrafted ship models, Civil War ironclad USS Monitor artifacts, paintings, small craft from around the world, and much more.
The Virginia Living Museum - Visitors to the living museum encounter more habitats, wildlife and plant species than would be encountered in a lifetime of outdoor adventures in Virginia. The exhibits showcase all of the state’s regions from the upland coves of the Appalachian Mountains to the salty offshore waters of the Atlantic Ocean and feature more than 245 different animal species.
Virginia Air and Space Center - Take flight to the Virginia Air & Space Center, the visitor center for NASA Langley Research Center and Langley Air Force Base. Your imagination will soar as you launch a rocket, pilot a space shuttle, come face-to-face with the Apollo 12 Command Module, and a DC-9 passenger jet. Experience a 3D IMAX film in the Riverside IMAX Theater...you have to see it to believe it! There is always something new landing at the Virginia Air & Space Center!
Plantation Houses James River Plantations - Virginia Route 5 in Charles City County. The county, strategically located between the James and Chickahominy Rivers and close to the colonial capitals of Jamestown and Williamsburg, was the first westward expansion of English-speaking America. Sherwood Forest Plantation - Sherwood Forest Plantation was the home of the 10th U.S. President John Tyler from 1842 until his death in 1862. Sherwood Forest Plantation has been the continuous residence of the Tyler family since the President purchased it in 1842. Known to be the longest frame house in America, it is over 300 feet long. Sherwood Forest Plantation reflects the lifestyle of this mid-19th century Presidential family. Beautifully wooded landscape and 12 dependencies surround President Tyler's home.
Shirley Plantation - Shirley Plantation is Virginia's first plantation (1613) and one of the first economic engines of the new world. Only six years after John Smith's settlement at Jamestown, the crown grant carving Shirley Plantation out of the Virginia frontier was established. The chronicle of Shirley Plantation best exemplifies the period in our nation's history between the settlement at Jamestown in 1607 and the movement towards American independence from Great Britain in 1776. During its long history and under the leadership of one family, Shirley Plantation has survived the Indian Uprising, Bacon's Rebellion, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and the Great Depression.

The staff at our Golf Academy will help you get more enjoyment out of your time on the course.
Williamsburg National - The settlers to Williamsburg’ Historic Triangle found great beauty and faced noble challenges in nearby Jamestown and Yorktown. At Williamsburg National, we honor those two nearby historic sites with our existing Nicklaus designed Jamestown Course and in July of 2007 our new Yorktown Course designed by Tom Clark. Both courses offer their own “great beauty” and “noble challenges” as today’s visitors enjoy golfing at the award-winning Williamsburg National Golf Club.

Our guests enjoy an earlier era when hospitality was a matter of pride and fine living was an art practiced in restful surroundings. Each of our well appointed rooms features fine antiques, rich fabrics, oriental rugs and wood floors with queen-sized beds and private baths. Guest parlors, a private cottage garden, central air, color TV and each morning, a lavish breakfast of fresh-brewed coffee, homemade breads, and Virginia delicacies.
The Innkeepers of the Williamsburg Manor also own a local Catering Company and take pride in preparing a hot regional breakfast buffet every morning at 8:30. The menu is always different, but we can certainly accommodate any special diets or allergy restrictions. We also keep a cooler stocked full of waters and soft drinks for our guests, as well as fresh baked goods and candy available throughout the day. We do not serve lunch or dinner but there are numerous menus and suggestions availble to our guests and we can also make recommendations or help you make reservations at local restaurants.
