Newport House Bed & Breakfast

Newport House, Williamsburg's most historically authentic B&B, was built to museum standards and is furnished completely in period. B&Bs in this neighborhood are permitted only 2 rental rooms, so ours are large, each containing a queen 4-poster canopy bed plus a twin 4-poster canopy bed, and a private bathroom. The house is fully air-conditioned. The full breakfast in the formal dining room includes authentic colonial recipes. Every Tuesday evening year round from 8 to 10 pm Newport House hosts locals and visitors for colonial dancing in our beautiful ballroom. John, your host, is a former museum director and captain of an historic full-rigged ship, and the author of many historical books. Cathy is a Registered Nurse, who does gardening and beekeeping.
