We are now offering a Wine Therapy package for the incredibly reasonable price of $150 (plus the cost of the Iris Inn room of your choice). This package includes a light dinner on the Friday evening of your arrival, along with four desserts paired with four wines, all served on the Inn's sunset deck. Next comes the Saturday events: breakfast, wine tasting at three premier vineyards, a gourmet lunch, and then a meal at the wine festival, along with live music and EVEN MORE WINE TASTING!!!! 3rd Saturday of May: Ash Lawn-Highland Wine Festival: Fun festivities of food, frolicking, and free wine glass souvenirs. 

4th Saturday of May: Festival of Wines at Wintergreen: Indulge in dinner and delectable drinks while enjoying some jovial jazz. 

2nd Saturday of June: Veritas Starry Nights: A medley of bluegrass music, a delicious dinner, and an affluence of wonderful wine.

4th Saturday of June: Shenandoah Valley Wine and Jazz Festival at the Frontier Culture Museum: A wellspring of wine, some jazzy jubilation, and a healthy helping of history.

2nd Saturday of July: Veritas Starry Nights: In case you missed Round One of this event, here's another opportunity for you to go and enjoy Beatles music!

Third Saturday of July: Andre Viette's Daylily and Wine Festival: Named one of July's top 20 events by Southeastern Tourism Society, this event offers floral and flag festivities and artsy attractions, and of course, wine tasting.

2nd Saturday in August: Veritas Starry Nights: And if you missed Round One and Round Two of this event, here's one more chance for you to attend and enjoy New Orleans Blues music!

1st Saturday in October: International Wine Festival in Wintergreen: Wine from around the world . . . throughout the day! Enjoy an afternoon of wine, jazz, light fare and the cool mountain air.

2nd Saturday in October: River City Wine Festival and Fall Foliage Art Festival: A fall festival of foliage, feasting, fine art, and fantastic wine. Sold Out!

Want to feel like a kid again? Take a plunge into a cold mountain lake on a hot summer day. The Iris Inn specializes in this sort of time travel with its guided hiking trip. For any day this spring, summer or fall, the Iris Inn combines hiking and swimming to get you off the beaten path to some of the most secluded swimming holes. Mountain views and wildlife watching, from white-tail deer, black bear, fox, river otter and red tailed hawks, make the park magical. Reconnect with nature as you learn about the trail around you from a certified naturalist, and are lead by an experienced hiker.

Virginia Nature Guide provides interesting outdoors' activities with an "educational twist".  While most people hike or walk from A to Z and say "it was nice", a Virginia Nature Guide lead hike provides knowledge of the surrounding forest. With a Certified Master Naturalist as your guide, for 4 hours you will explore and identify natures unique diversity such as: forest communities, indicator species, forest strata, bloom timing, "Virginia wildflower, butterfly and tree identification", wildlife tracking and viewing.  $44.00 per person
