The Charles Bass House is a safe and healthy half-mile walk down Main Street to downtown with shops, restaurants and churches. It is a short drive to many historic and recreational destinations. Charles Bass, the original owner, built the house in 1904 when it was prestigious to live on the main street in town. Many of the homes in the neighborhood are from this era.
Besides the comfortable living and dining rooms, you will enjoy the sun porch, back porch, hot tub and spacious deck. The shaded yard on the south side of the house, enclosed by a white picket fence, is the domain of the Fall Crocus that blooms all over each fall in October.
