Come stay with us on our 75 acre horse farm in Reva, Virginia, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Stay in a large European style cottage that offers 3 private accommodations.
The Funny Farm Inn is located 10 miles southwest of Culpeper, VA. It is only 1½ hours from Washington, DC and 40 minutes from Historic Charlottesville, VA. They are open year round, including all holidays and welcome children and pets.
Guest can select and pick fresh organic vegetables straight from our garden to their own private kitchen table. Guests are welcome to participate in family activities such as gardening, collecting fresh eggs or feeding animals if they wish. We have added a lovely, secluded picnic area. Also while visiting guests can arrange for a massage by a licensed massage therapist: in house or at a nearby spa, both by appointment.
While visiting guests can enjoy an assortment of resident dogs, cats, miniature horses, mule, ducks, geese, chickens and, of course, horses.

Most guests come to the Inn to have peace and quiet and relaxed atmosphere of the farm. They stay for the uniqueness of our Inn. They like the fact that you get a whole house with all amenities and privacy.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
We are best known for out private and spacious accommodations. By getting an entire house to yourself with complete kitchens and large living spaces in all three of our accommodations, it sets us apart from most others. We love that our guests have privacy for their vacation except for the visiting dog or crowing chicken or screaming peacock. Guests are also welcome to lend a hand with chores from cleaning stalls to collecting eggs. We love to educated children about the animals and watching the guests interact in our farm life.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
Our closest town in Culpeper, Va, and the #1 reason to visit it is that it is small and quaint with family owned business. There are lots of small gift stores and some of the best restaurants on the east coast. Culpeper is very community oriented and is listed as one of the top 10 small towns in the Virginia.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
The best compliment was when more than one group of guests have called the farm and Inn "a little piece of heaven".
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
The best kept secret about our area is the close proximity to many local wineries. Also there is a great deal of Civil War history within 15-20 miles of the Inn as well as the two cabins on the farm were Civil War hospitals.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
There are many sites to see in Culpeper having to do with the Civil War. Charlottesville, Va is close by and you can visit , Ash lawn, Monticello and Montpelier. Also there are festivals at different times of the year, Graves Mountain Lodge Apple Festival in October.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
There are many hiking trails here on the farm, a picnic area with fire pit to have a family or romantic meal and roast some marshmallows. We have a pool open in the spring, summer and fall. There an eclectic assortment of animals to meet and greet.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
Our favorite restaurants are Foti's and Its about Thyme both in Culpeper,VA.

How many rooms does your inn have?
Our Inn does not have room, when guests come to stay they get an entire house to themselves. There is complete privacy, no sharing of living spaces or bathrooms. There are 3 separate accommodations, houses on the farm.
Do you accept pets?
Yes, we do accept pets of all kinds for a fee per night and also can bring horses to stay at our lovely equine facility with all amenities for a fee.
Activities and Nearby Attractions
The perfect place for a romantic getaway, family vacation or hiking or trail riding adventure. Enjoy site seeing, searching for real estate or just relaxing beside the pool or in front of the fireplace. Find peace and quiet while horse showing at Commonwealth Park or on a foxhunting vacation.
While staying at the Inn you can enjoy the Skyline Drive, Luray Caverns or tour local wineries. A short drive will take to historic Monticello, Montpelier, Ashlawn or Civil War Battlefields.
Wonderful antique shops, great restaurants, hiking trails in the Shenandoah National Park and superb fishing streams are only minutes away. There are also miles of hiking trails directly from the Inn and great sledding in the snow in the winter.
For those quests who wish to bring horses, we offer the finest in horse accommodations with deluxe barn, rubber footed ring, board fencing and trails. The Inn is within one hour of seven foxhunts, 15 minutes from HITS of Culpeper and 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Mountain Trail system. We do not offer rental Horses, but can make arrangements for wonderful guided trail rides nearby.

Our unique Inn provides our guests with complete privacy and the opportunity to prepare their own meals at their convenience.
Each accommodation is fully furnished (mainly antiques) and equipped, including all linens. The kitchens are fully equipped (including china, silverware, glassware, etc)and contain most food staples such as sugar, spices, flour, ketchup, etc. For breakfast there are coffee makers, fresh coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, butter, farm fresh eggs and a basket of fresh pastries.
Well-behaved pets are welcome with advance notice; $15 per night per pet.
Children, with adult supervision, are welcome.
