Come stay with us on our 75 acre horse farm nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Stay in a large European style cottage that offers 2 private accommodations

Guest can select and pick fresh organic vegetables straight from our garden to their own private kitchen table. Guests are welcome to participate in family activities such as gardening, collecting fresh eggs or feeding animals if they wish. We have added a lovely, secluded picnic area.
Also while visiting guests can arrange for a massage by a licensed massage therapist: in house or at a nearby spa, both by appointment.

The Funny Farm Inn is located 10 miles southwest of Culpeper, VA. It is only 1 ½ hours from Washington, DC and 40 minutes from Historic Charlottesville, VA. They are open year round, including all holidays and welcome children and pets.

The perfect place for a romantic getaway, family vacation or hiking or trail riding adventure. Enjoy site seeing, searching for real estate or just relaxing beside the pool or in front of the fireplace. Find peace and quiet while horse showing at Commonwealth Park or on a foxhunting vacation.

While staying at the Inn you can enjoy the Skyline Drive, Luray Caverns or tour local wineries. A short drive will take to historic Monticello, Montpelier, Ashlawn or Civil War Battlefields.

Wonderful antique shops, great restaurants, hiking trails in the Shenandoah National Park and superb fishing streams are only minutes away. There are also miles of hiking trails directly from the Inn and great sledding in the snow in the winter.

Our unique Inn provides our guests with complete privacy and the opportunity to prepare their own meals at their convenience.

Each accommodation is fully furnished (mainly antiques) and equipped, including all linens. The kitchens are fully equipped (including china, silverware, glassware, etc)and contain most food staples such as sugar, spices, flour, ketchup, etc. For breakfast there are coffee makers, fresh coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, butter, farm fresh eggs and a basket of fresh pastries.

While visiting guests can enjoy an assortment of resident dogs, cats, miniature horses, mule, ducks, geese, chickens and, of course, horses.

For those quests who wish to bring horses, we offer the finest in horse accommodations with deluxe barn, rubber footed ring, board fencing and trails. The Inn is within one hour of seven foxhunts, 15 minutes from HITS of Culpeper and 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Mountain Trail system. We do not offer rental Horses, but can make arrangements for wonderful guided trail rides nearby.

The Funny Farm is delightful in all seasons. It is like "over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go". Come and spend the holidays with us and join your hosts for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years dinner.

Children, with adult supervision, are welcome.

Well-behaved pets are welcome with advance notice; $15 per night per pet.
