Martin-Wilson House Bed & Breakfast - Poquoson, Virginia
    Circa 1929
We invite you to come to Poquoson, "The Waterman's" country. Recorded in the English land patent issued to Captain Christopher Calthrope April 26, 1631. Poquoson is the oldest city in Virginia to have used the same name continuously.

The Martin-Wilson House was built in 1929 by Mr. Herbert Martin. The Sears & Roebuck House, also an antique shop, has been renovated and enlarged to reflect a true Victorian atmosphere.

The annual Seafood Festival, presented the 3rd weekend in October, has become one of the largest in Tidewater. This three day event portrays the culture as it has endured for generations through scenic displays and working demonstrations.

A wonderful place to visit, Poquoson offers twenty unique shops. Featuring a quaint tearoom, antiques, artworks, unique gifts, stained glass, collectibles and books.

Also, eight great restaurants to whet your appetite with the local seafood, or a variety of other choices. The Poquoson shops are widely known for the annual "Holiday Open House" held the first weekend in November.
