The Carriage House Inn Bed & Breakfast

The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast in Lynchburg, Virginina offers four spacious bedrooms with their original and beautifully preserved hardwood floors, coal-burning fireplaces, brass light fixtures, radiators, claw foot bathtubs and many of the original components of the rooms.

Each room has a unique ambiance and is furnished with antiques and/or reproduction period furniture. The rooms are named for the members of the Watts family, the original owners of this fine home, who lived here in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

We will be adding a luxury suite and conference center in our 3000 square foot
Carriage House, circa 1910 which is scheduled to open in summer 2009.

Lynchburg, located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains along the banks of the James River, is also known as the "City of Seven Hills", or "The Hill City." It is also the home of Central Virginia Community College, Liberty University, Lynchburg College, Randolph College, Virginia University of Lynchburg and Sweet Briar College. We look forward to hosting parents, friends, and visitors to our local colleges.

Included with your stay at The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast we serve our legendary breakfast. Throughout the year we prepare a specialty breakfast for the month. Currently we are updating recipes from the late 1800's and will periodically be serving an authentic breakfast that the Watts family may have enjoyed while they lived here.

Freshly brewed coffee is available for our guests at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast is usually served at 8:30 or 9:00 a.m. If you are here on business and need to get an early start just let us know. If you have special dietary needs or restrictions we are happy to accommodate you with advance notice (24 hours).
