Welcome to Shenandoah Kitchen at the Victorian Inn
The home that is now the Victorian Inn has graced East Main Street since it was built during the era that shares its name. The original owners were Henry and Laura Weiner. Henry was a supervisor at the DeFord Tannery, a major industry in Luray until the mid twentieth century.
The house has witnessed the arrival of the railroads, the discovery of Luray Caverns and the establishment of Shenandoah National Park. As the area became a thriving vacation destination, this romantic Victorian Inn has played a part in the revival of downtown Luray.
In celebration of that more genteel time, Chef Marcus Olson and the staff at Shenandoah Kitchen strive to prepare fresh, local ingredients in an innovative fashion. They welcome you to enjoy Chef Marcus’s award-winning talent, now married with the Southern hospitality for which Virginia is famous.

"Our two night stay at the Victorian Inn (part of the Woodruff Inns in Luray, VA) was all I had hoped for! My boyfriend was very impressed with this surprise destination for his birthday weekend. The Turret Suite is very romantic with its gorgeous, dramatic four poster bed and Jacuzzi in the room…. The filet mignon was perfect and delicious…. Very good, attentive service! We definitely recommend it! No doubt!!" LoveBnBsinArlington - Trip Advisor Member
"Both the service and the food exceeded our expectations… When we arrived and checked into our room we were both left breathless with the beauty of this Victorian style suite. It was certainly designed with romance and relaxation in mind. Our first day we never left the room, enjoying the King sized bed covered in satin sheets and the huge bath area where we spent hours relaxing in the Jacuzzi… The Victorian Inn is certainly a place that I am sure we will enjoy for years to come." Rafael and Himashi - Trip Advisor Member
"My husband and I wanted, and needed a very romantic getaway from the normal hustle and bustle of the city, Washington, DC that is. We got more then what we expected; we loved our accommodations, but the food was just superb… Breakfast excellent, Dinner excellent… Very impressed by all of the attention to detail… We loved relaxing in the hot tub and the Jacuzzi; we didn't want to leave. The romantic stay was truly a treat; we will come back again very soon, and we will tell others to go so they too can enjoy a lovely experience like we did." S&T Washington, DC - Trip Advisor Member
"My wife and I were looking for a two day getaway. She chose a place called the Victorian Inn…At first, I was a little skeptical of the whole bed and breakfast idea but it took a total of 5 minutes upon arrival to know that we were in a very caring, and professional hands… No request seemed absurd, or an inconvenience… We ate an absolutely wonderful dinner… It was so refreshing to feel as if you were with family and long time friends… We cannot thank this great bunch of people who left us so thankful that this world still has such kind, compassionate, and true down home good people in this world…God Bless you all, and thank you…You made such a wonderful impression on Gia and myself!! Scott and Gia - Trip Advisor Member Rockville, Maryland

Thank you so very much!" momteach - Trip Advisor Member
"My new wife and I had a wonderful mini-honeymoon at the Woodruff… we ended up spending three wonderful nights and didn't want to leave… The best endorsement I can give is to say that we will most definitely be back… The room itself was very spacious and comfortable… No complaints and many compliments on the room… The food was prepared and presented very well… It's noteworthy to say that this review is actually for the second stay we had at the Woodruff…Our dilemma is now whether to stay in the Boudoir or the Rooftop when we go back… They're both so enjoyable in their own unique way that I think we'll have to flip a coin…" matt2kx - Trip Advisor Member
