Edith Hayes Room
This room a must for newlyweds or romantics wanting to celebrate in elegance and style! Imagine moving from the whirlpool tub directly to the massage table for a relaxing in-room massage. We'll gladly arrange a massage as part of any visit.
From the high four-poster queen size canopy bed to the matching silk brocade draperies, this room is meant as a place to build memories and a place to return to refresh for years to come. A great choice for those who select any of our getaway packages, but especially our Anniversary and our Honeymoon Packages.

Susie Hodges Cottage
Looking for an elegant destination and an anniversary present to remember? Need a private getaway for your special time together? Seeking a place for your elopement and honeymoon? Choose The Cottage at South Court and leave the rest to us! The Susie Hodges Cottage may be booked as a B&B stay OR as a Private Cottage Rental.
What is the Difference?
A B&B Stay includes the cottage with private patio, towels, robes, breakfast daily at 9AM in the dining room of the main house, all cottage amenities and housekeeping.
A 2 night minimum required on weekends for B & B stay.
Rates for a B&B Stay:
Sunday - Thursday: $170
1 night: Fri or Sat: $225
2 nights: Fri and Sat: $185 per night
For a Private Cottage Rental, we provide the furnished cottage, you bring everything else you might want to consume or use. A 3-night minimum stay at any time, is required for all Private Cottage Rentals.
Private Rental Cottage Rates:
Sunday - Thursday: $150
2 nights: Fri and Sat: $175 per night- (3 day minimum required and a total $25 per day discount will be applied)
Please call us if you do not understand the difference between a B&B Cottage booking and a Private Rental Cottage booking, or if you would like to book longer.
Note: There is no smoking permitted inside the cottage. Please don't make us charge you $250 for smoke cleaning or require you to find alternate lodging.

Policies
- South Court Inn is open only on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The private cottage will be available as a rental on any of the other days without Bed & Breakfast services.
- Minimum Stays: We gladly accept reservations for 1 night on Sunday and Monday at the rates posted on the Accommodations page. For weekends, we require a minimum 2-night stay or our premium priced 1-Night Weekend. Weekend rates apply to all 3 days of federal holiday weekends.

Cancellations: We recognize unforeseeable events sometimes arise that require our guests to reschedule or cancel reservations. We do everything we can to accommodate those requests; without imposing unacceptable financial strains on our business. Therefore we observe the following policies on rescheduling and canceling reservations:
- Requests to reschedule or cancel reservations at least 14 days before scheduled arrival date are accepted without penalty.
- Rescheduling and cancellations with less than 14 days advance notice are charged the agreed rate and a gift certificate is issued for later use.
- Cancellations the same day as the reservations and "no shows" are charged the full rate and no gift certificates issued.
- Cancellation with less than 14 days notice must be made by telephone; toll free number is 888-749-8055.
- Deposit: Credit card number or check equivalent to 1st nights stay required to establish firm reservations.
- Credit Cards: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, VISA
- Children/Extra Persons: The furniture in the Edith Hayes room and the Mary Kennard room in the main house is arranged to so that we provide a camping cot for one well-behaved child age 12 year or older or one additional adult per room.
- The cottage living room has a daybed that converts to 2 twin beds allowing us to accommodate 2 well-behaved children age 12 or older or 2 additional adult guests in the cottage.
- There is a $25 per person extra person charge for each person over 2 in our rooms or cottage. We gladly quote special rates for multiple rooms or stays of 4 nights or longer to help families stay at South Court Inn when in the Luray area.
- Pets: We have arranged with a nearby boarding kennel to accept and care for guests pets during their visits.
- Smoking: Welcomed outside the Inn and on the porch. There is no smoking permitted inside B &B or the cottage. Please don't make us charge you for smoke cleaning or require you to find alternate lodging.
- Arrival Time: 3:00 PM, or earlier by prior arrangement.
- Parking: Private off-street parking spaces provided on the premises for Inn guests.

Handicap Accessible
The Susie Hodges Cottage offers parking directly in front, inclined walk and entry, open wheeler/scooter friendly first floor including no impediment bath with raised water closet, multiple pull-up bars, wall-fee shower and a daybed that converts to two Sealy-mattressed twin beds, as well as an additional sofa and 35" color/cable TV with DVD player. The wet-bar area offers a small sink and fridge, toaster, blender, water kettle, washer and dryer and a large whirlpool tub that would require assistance to enter for those unable to step into the tub. The stairs to the second floor date from the 1940s, a time when steep, narrow steps were permitted, but is not accessible for those of limited mobility. The bedroom on the second floor offers a full queen bed, dresser, small closet, large chaise lounge, 20" color/cable TV with DVD player and a balcony. The large patio with pergola behind the cottage is accessed by an minimally inclined outdoor walk, making it a haven for everyone to relax and enjoy their stay in the Susie Hodges Cottage. Since access to the main house via multiple steps and narrow spaces, we provide a breakfast basket to guests staying in the cottage.
