On Keegan Pond Bed and Breakfast
-
Guests at On Keegan Pond Bed and Breakfast (circa 1870) enjoy a gracious atmosphere and a delightful breakfast in this home on five acres between the Spotsylvania Courthouse Battlefield and the Chancellorsville Battlefield. Nearby are Wilderness Battlefield, Fredericksburg Battlefield, Old Salem Church, and Ellwood. The city of Fredericksburg, with its rich colonial history, is only five miles away.
Artifacts found on the property of this lovely, early farm house indicate that Union Scouts occupied the field during the opening engagement of the Battle of Chancellorsville.
Many guests make us their "home" for day trips to Montpelier, Monticello, Mount Vernon, Stratford Hall (Robert E. Lee's boyhood home), Scotchtown (home of Patrick Henry), the George Washington Birthplace National Monument, and King's Dominion. All these are located within a fifty mile radius, and are accessible by scenic roads.
