Cedar Spring Inn & Spa

CEDAR SPRING INN was built as an exclusive residence then expanded as a private, luxurious retreat for up to five couples. Sited at the top of a cedar-lined ridge, the Inn offers spectacular views of over 20 miles of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Designed by a noted Charlottesville architect, the home is dramatic in its use of antique timbers and reused oily and heart pine. Generous windows take advantage of a spectacular western mountain panorama.

Lounge on your private patio or deck, sit by the pool and spa; the  morning mist and brilliant sunsets provide an ever-changing mountain spectacle that will become your entertainment. It will captivate you with its majesty.

Luxury and Hospitality

Five spacious guest rooms offer a selection of comforts: beautifully appointed King beds and luxurious private baths with soaking or jetted tubs, romantic fireplaces, private entrances and private patios. All guests enjoy unlimited use of the property amenities: swim in the heated pool from April through October. Use the outdoor hot tub year-round, along with the steam room and sauna, or hike our 36 acres of woodlands and meadows.  Sit around the firepit on the ridge overlooking the mountains.

The Inn's spacious common areas invite conversation, reading, playing a game or just relaxing. There is a massive stone fireplace inside and out, with abundant decks and patios. Sunset offers an opportunity to relax by the fireplace, on the deck or near the pool with a complimentary glass of wine. Or stroll the surrounding meadows and woodlands; the property delights and surprises. Follow a spring-fed stream beneath ancient cedars past an 1840's cabin to the North Fork of the Rivanna River.

Wireless internet access is available in the public areas of the Inn and in some guest rooms.

Breakfast with a View

Enjoy a special breakfast while feasting on the beauty of the countryside! Every menu includes choice of juice and beverage, seasonal fresh fruit, warm sweet bread, your choice of entree and breakfast meat. Coffee and a variety of teas are served at the breakfast bar beginning at 7 a.m. and are available throughout the breakfast period. Arrangements can be made for an earlier seating if needed; please speak with the innkeeper. Views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and 36 acres of meadows and woodlands provide a relaxing backdrop.

Location

Eleven miles north of Charlottesville, ten minutes from the airport in the Albemarle County magistrate of Advance Mills - we are 2.3 miles from Route 29 yet a world away. Discover the history of Jefferson's Monticello and Madison's Montpelier, visit the University of Virginia, tour wineries and breweries and cideries, shop for antiques, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway or Skyline Drive. The adventurous may enjoy golfing or skiing, horseback riding, biking. Fish and hike on the property or in the Shenandoah National Park; even a balloon ride can be arranged for your enjoyment. Charlottesville and surrounding area are home to many fine restaurants satisfying all tastes and budgets. We would be happy to provide recommendations and assist with reservations.
