The Sunrise Room
The Sunrise Room faces east and is full of early morning sunshine. It has a private bath with an oversized shower, comfortable queen-sized bed, and two easy chairs for reading or watching TV.
The Sunrise Room is $185 per night Friday-Sunday and $170 per night Monday-Thursday during our busy-season which begins April 1st.
The Sunset Room
The Sunset Room faces west into the sunset and out onto the Chesapeake Bay. It has a private bath with an oversized shower, comfortable queen- sized bed, and two easy chairs for reading or watching TV.
The Sunset Room is $195 per night Friday-Sunday and $175 per night Monday-Thursday during our busy-season which begins April 1st.

Reservations, Rates and Policies
Reservations
Please call and tell us when you would like to visit, or check our availability schedule and request a room online. We are generally open year-round, with our busy season running from April 1st to October 31st. All weekend reservations require a two-night minimum, longer for major holidays and special events.
Reservations must be secured by a major credit card, and are payable in full on arrival. A deposit equal to one-half the total room cost is required when making a reservation for a stay of four days or longer or when reserving both of our guest rooms on a single credit card. The balance is payable on arrival.
Cancellations
We are a small Inn and guarantee to hold your room unless you tell us otherwise at least 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. In case of emergency and you have to cancel within the 10 days, we will try our best to rebook your room. Unfortunately, you will be charged the cost of your room if it stays empty for part or the full length of your reservation. Sorry, no exceptions. A processing fee of $30 applies to all cancellations and changes.
Chesapeake Bay View Room Rates
A rate of $195 per night will be charged for the Sunset Room and $185 for the Sunrise Room Friday-Sunday and $175 and $170 per night respectively Monday-Thursday during our busy season, which begins April 1st, plus taxes. This rate is for two people and includes a full gourmet breakfast.
Returning Chesapeake Bay View and former Old Gratitude House guests will receive a 10 percent discount.
Guests staying three days or longer will receive complementary tickets to a sunset cruise on the Miss Jennifer when operating.
Guest Policies
- The Chesapeake Bay View is a non-smoking establishment. Absolutely no burning of candles or incense is permitted in the guest rooms.
- We regret that we cannot accommodate young children nor pets. Our rooms have queen size beds and sleep a maximum of two guests.
- We will seek to accommodate personal dietary needs or other restrictions if you let us know at least two days in advance.
- Check-in time is 3:00-4:00 PM or as arranged in advance, and checkout time is 11:00 AM. Late check-outs are generally not available.
- Breakfast is served at 9:00am and seating is outside when weather permits.
