Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

Many guests choose to stay with us because they are looking for a special place to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or other special occasion. With our beautiful Inn, on-site winery, and scenic property they look forward to a special experience.

What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

We are best known for the ambiance.. the experience. We have beautiful views, an on-site winery, and hiking trails. We also grow lavendar which blooms in the summer months.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

Aside from touring the beautiful campus of  Virginia Tech the area is rich in recreational activities.  Hiking, biking, fishing, and horse back riding are a few of the many things to do when visiting.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

Our guests say they feel very welcomed and comfortable staying here.

What’s the best kept secret about the area?

The best kept secret is probably the moderate climate, the diversity of the town, and the quality of life for both indoor and outdoor living.

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

For guests staying longer than a weekend we recommend that they spend a day hiking, a day visiting Virginia Tech, and a day seeing the towns of Blacksburg and Roanoke. People can also enjoy antiquing, horseback riding, golf, canoeing, and visiting the wineries in the area.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

We are located in the country 12 miles from downtown Blacksburg.  We are a destination location - a place to unwind, unplug, and relax.  We have on-site hiking trails, a fishing pond, a winery, and brewery.

What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

Some of our favorite locally owned Blacksburg restaurants are 622 North and the Black Hen for finer dining, and The Cellar for casual dining. Other local favorites are The Palisades Restaurant in Eggleston, VA and "Billy's" in Roanoke.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

We recommend the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce or the local tourism office.
