    The Hokie Room

    Clay Corner Inn is a friendly, comfortable B&B in downtown Blacksburg next to the Virginia Tech campus. The staff warmly welcomes visitors from around the world. Eight guest rooms with regional themes offer the comforts of home, amenities of a hotel and friendly, casual atmosphere of a small inn. The property is smoke free and dog friendly. All guest rooms have private bath, luxury towels, expanded cable TV, clock radio, wireless internet, writing table and chair, abundant amenities, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, king or queen bed. We now have a Business Center.

    Clay Corner Inn - Blacksburg, VirginiaThe swimming pool is open May - September. A 6.5-mile walking trail begins outside the front door. Tennis and golf are within a mile.

    A full breakfast is served each morning and features the inn's own cereal recipes, fruit and freshly baked muffins, scones and coffeecakes, as well as a hot entree like cheese blintzes, stuffed French toast with raspberry sauce or Philly eggs and bacon. There's a cookie bar every Saturday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm.

    Blacksburg, founded in 1798, is highly rated for its quality of life. Virginia Tech has one of the largest contiguous college campuses in the nation and is well known for its dedicated cadet corps, ACC sports programs and cutting edge technology education and research.

    Within 10 blocks, Clay Corner Inn guests enjoy restaurants and coffee shops, the historic Lyric theatre playing first-run movies, bookstores and interesting small shops. Wineries, hiking trails, antiques and scenic drives can be found in surrounding counties.

    Dog guests:

     

    • must be at least 10mths old, be on regular flea and tick prevention & rabies
    • cannot be left alone in a guest room
    • can enjoy breakfast with mom & dad on the porch
    • must walk off the Clay Corner Inn grounds
    • can enjoy the Huckleberry Trail, 6.5 mile walking trail, ½ block away
    • should have all paws on the floor (not on beds or furniture)
    • simply can’t join the breakfast guests
    • must always be connected to a person via a leash on the property
    • should encourage their owners to be kind and considerate so dog(s) can come again!
