We invite you to return to the gracious hospitality of yesteryear without leaving today's comforts! Choose from one of our 3 spacious guest rooms, each with a private renovated bath, special amenities, cable TV and Wi-Fi access for your laptop. We are situated in a charming small town with a variety of restaurants and friendly people, and there's a rocking chair next to the fireplace waiting for you.
The Lost Dog is only 45 minutes from Dulles International Airport (and less than one tank of gas from many cities). Situated in the heart of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, there are plenty of things to do after you enjoy that great country breakfast.
Nearby antique shopping, caverns, horseback riding and a new golf course tempt you away from the rockers on the front porch or the charming fireplace in the living room. Local restaurants are within walking distance. Day trips to Winchester, Harper's Ferry, Shepardstown and Charles Town are just a quick visit down the road. 
All three rooms have high ceilings with fans and are kept cozy in the colder months with old-time hot-water radiators. In the warmer months, open the cross-ventilating windows for those fresh Shenandoah Valley breezes, or opt for individually controlled air conditioners. All of our rooms are supplied with: a hair dryer, clock radio, fluffy terry-cloth bathrobes, high speed wireless internet for your laptop and a cable-TV so you can stay in touch with the outside world if you really want to. An iron and ironing board are available, and if you can't think of anything else you'd rather do, there's a library of video tapes you can view on your room's TV/VCR.

- First night charges are non- refundable deposit; total charges due if cancelled less than 7 day advance of check in.

- Check in is between 3pm - 5pm. Check out is 11am. Other times for check- in are often available but must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance.
- The Lost Dog is a smoke-free bed and breakfast; smoking is allowed on the exterior porches, patio, and gardens. Smoking inside our facility will cause a $50 per day charge to be added to your credit card.
- Cancellation Policy: The first night's charges are not refundable. The entire charge will be made against your credit card in the unhappy event you cancel with less than 7 days prior to your check in date.
- We enjoy children visiting our B&B; however, prior arrangements are necessary. A maximum number of three guests, including children, are allowed in a guest room. We do not accept children on all weekends. We supply a port-a-crib for infants at no charge.
- We own a friendly Labradoodle who was born in 2000 and weighs about 80 lbs. He is trained to not enter the guest rooms.

Lost Dog B&B has been the site for several engagements, elopements, small weddings and
wedding renewal ceremonies. We would be happy to help you plan your very special occasion. -
Prior arrangements are necessary, but we love pets and welcome them with their companions when other guests with children are not present. Pets are to be with their companions at all times. We expect pets to be on flea/tick medication and to have their shots. We observe a leash law in town and when pets are not in their kennel. We have a friendly dog ready to share our fenced back yard.
Please Note: We own a friendly Labradoodle who was born in 2000 and weighs about 80 lbs.
He is trained to not enter the guest rooms.-
Prior approval is essential if you plan to bring any pet.
A maximum number of two pets allowed at the inn. We do not accept pets on all weekends. - Pets must be leashed in the town of Berryville.

Pets cannot be left alone in guest rooms, and must be with their owners at all times.
Our backyard is fenced, but jail breaks have been known to occur. -
Pets must be washed and groomed & on flea medication prior to arrival, with
proof of current rabies and parvo vaccinations. -
Owners should bring pet bedding, pet food and dishes; pets are not permitted
on the furniture/beds. - Owners are asked to clean up their dog litter.

Guests must be responsible for any damage done by the pet, and to absolve the
innkeepers of any liability if the pet is injured. - Pet sitting is not available.

It is important that you call the innkeeper (540) 955-1181, prior to making your plans to travel with children. Some weekends are family friendly and others are reserved for parents wishing to have time away from family pressure. Also, we do not have children visiting when other guests are traveling with pets. We do not offer child/baby sitting. Thanks.
