Crumps Mountain Cottage

An isolated treat for those who love nature...

This solitary cottage is nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains away from people and phones. Enjoy the panoramic view of the pastoral valley below and surrounding mountains from the deck. A small fishpond is onsite, three nearby lakes, and several mountain streams for those who like to fish.

Explore our 243 wooded acres bordered by the George Washington National Forest. The cottage is equipped with central heat and air conditioning. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer. We furnish clean sheets and towels. There is a TV/VCR (which receives no stations) and a radio that plays cassettes and CD's. We do have a sizable library of movies from which you may choose to watch. Board games, puzzles and playing cards are also furnished. Please be aware that there is no phone, but cell phone reception is received at the cottage.

A one time food supply for breakfast includes the following: 1 dozen eggs, package of bacon, loaf of homemade bread, quart of milk, 8 oz. jar of homemade jam, jellies or butters, margarine, sugar, coffee, herbal tea, and tea. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking major meals: electric stove, refrigerator, pots, pans, microwave, automatic coffee makers, dishware, eating utensils, and an outdoor charcoal Weber grill (charcoal and charcoal starter are not provided). Basic toiletries such as bed sheets, extra blankets, extra pillows, towels, bath soaps, shampoo, and a hairdryer are provided, as is laundry detergent.
