Deer Cove Inn Bed and Breakfast

The house, built in 1980, is a two story farm house nestled within 9 1/2 wooded acres of trees and beautiful landscape. My location at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is just 20 minutes from Lynchburg and 50 minutes from Charlottesville. The Inn is located a short distance from the Blue Ridge Mountains, Skyline Drive, Wintergreen Resort, local wineries and breweries, golfing, skiing, fishing and canoeing. I am convenient to several colleges: Sweet Briar, Randolph, Lynchburg, Liberty University and the University of Virginia.

Deer Cove Inn features two guest rooms with private bath available and powder room. All rooms have A/C, ceiling fans, pillow top mattress, alternative down comforters, illuminated make/up mirrors, alarm clocks and great pillows.

All Guests are asked to enjoy the den with TV and fireplace, front porch which views the meadow and the rear deck viewing the wooded area with year round spa. The deer wander into the meadow around 4:00 pm each evening - a lovely time to watch from the spa as you relax. Wireless High-speed Internet is coming soon, although most mobile wireless cards work at the Inn. Fax available upon request.

Continental or Full Breakfast: Served from 8:00 - 9:30

Breakfast Combinations available for a great morning start: Juices, coffee, tea, milk, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, sausage, homemade waffles w/ maple syrup, bagels, English muffins, toast served with honey, jellies and jams.

Available all day: coffee, tea, soda, homemade cookies and cake.

The Hillcrest Room

This room features an Iron Post queen-sized bed with DirecTV. The window views the meadow. Room rate based on double occupancy/2 night minimum on weekends during peak season, holidays and special events. $125/night.

The Amelon Room

This room features a Cherry Slated queen-sized bed, a lovely new bathroom with window views of the meadow and wooded areas. Room rate based on double occupancy/2 night minimum on weekends during peak season, holidays and special events: $140/night.

Policies

• All rooms are subject to Virginia Sales Tax of 5% and Amherst County Lodging Tax of 5%.

• 2 night minimum during weekends and holidays
• Reservation Policies: 30 days advance notice is required and 50% of the room rate is due at this time. Full payment is due 10 days prior to your reservation date. Please call the Inn to check for availability if you require a reservation with less than 15 days notice. Payment will be due in full at this time.

• Check-In: 3 - 8 pm. Please let me know if you plan to be later than 8 pm.
• Check-Out: 11:00 am.
• Cancellations: Please notify the Inn 15 days prior to your reservation date. Cancellations made without a 15 day notification are subject to a $ 35.00 charge or complete refund if we are able to rebook your reservation. We will gladly issue a gift certificate to accommodate your future travels in the beautiful Virginia Mountains.
• Smoking Is Allowed Only On The Outside Of The Inn.
• Pet Policy: I'm sorry but I have a no pet allowed policy. There is a resident cat, Zbee, that roams the grounds but is NEVER allowed in the guest rooms.
• Group Discount: Book two (2) rooms for 2 or more consecutive nights and receive a 10% discount.
