Shenandoah
The lone guest room on our main floor, the cozy Shenandoah room, named for beautiful valley just to our west, offers perfect southern country charm. The sage and burgundy walls surround the raised, pencil-post bed made of southern pine. Full-size bed and private bath with shower.
Mornington Room
Adorned in golden tan and dark rose, the spacious Mornington Room offers the perfect romantic ambiance for your special getaway. Located on the upper floor, our feature room is highlighted by a luxurious queen-sized, raised bed surrounded by a custom-made canopy and draperies. A number of lovely antiques contribute to the room's old-world charm.
Jefferson Room
Named for our third President and local icon, Thomas Jefferson, this room on our upper floor features a beautiful wheat-carved queen size bed. The decor is highlighted by the lovely tea green hand-stenciled walls and includes a portrait of Jefferson himself.
Looking Glass
From the bed to the dressing table and mirrors, the Looking Glass room has much to offer the antique lover. You'll love the light sage green quilt and the soothing soft beige-colored walls. Queen-size bed and private bath with shower.
Goodwin Room
This intimate room is awash in classic red and white French toile fabric and wallpaper. It offers a fabulous king-size bed, which can also be converted to separate twins. Also located upstairs, it includes a private bath with shower.

Policies
Standard Check-in time is between 3-8PM. If you expect to arrive later than 8PM, please let us know when we can expect you. Early check-ins may be accommodated with advance notice. Check-out is anytime prior to 11AM. Reservations are secured by credit card. The full amount of the reservation will be charged at check-out.Cancellation: 14 days or more advance notice is required (30 days for Peak Season/Holiday reservations). Cancellations made without sufficient notice are subject to a charge equal to 50% of the room rate (or 10% if we are able to re-book the room), or a gift certificate equal to the full room rate. If you have any questions regarding our cancellation policy, please ask.
Room rates are based on Double Occupancy. The additional charge for third person in a room is $25.00 per night. Virginia Sales tax of 5% and Nelson County Lodging tax of 5% applies to all guest stays
As a courtesy to our guests, there is no smoking inside the residence. Smoking is allowed on the outdoor porches.We have two standard discounts* available to our guests: all stays of three (3) or more consecutive nights in the same room receive a 10% discount; and guests who arrive in a hybrid or fuel efficient vehicle (one with an average MPG rating of 30 or higher according to fueleconomy.gov) qualify for a 10% discount on any weekend (Fri-Sun) stay.
*Discount requests must be made at time of reservation and may not be combined with any other discount or package offer.
We welcome well-behaved children of all ages. Roll-away beds are available if you have a child who you wish to have sleep in your room. We also have a crib available on request.
We are sorry that we cannot accept pets. We currently have two dogs of our own that are not allowed in any of the guests areas.
