The menu changes daily as Chef Todd Draper selects fresh local ingredients to create dishes that are both innovative and satisfying. Haute cuisine meets comfort food! Like only the finest chefs, Todd takes no shortcuts but insists on preparing everything in house including his famous sauces, fresh Artisan breads, pastas, pates, and delectable desserts.

     

    Romantic DiningDeerhill Open House Dinners are scheduled throughout the year and are open to the public as well as our Inn guests. These five course dinners highlight the best that Vermont has to offer paired with wines from our award winning wine list. Special dining packages are available for Inn guests.

    The Deerfield Inn is proud to house the Art on the Mountain Gallery, an ongoing event sponsored by the Deerfield Valley Health Care Volunteers (DVHCV). Featuring local artists, such as Karen Baker, Ann Coleman, Jane May Jones, Jim McGrath, Jack Schertzer and Ursula Tancrel, the revolving exhibit displays a new round of works every six weeks.

    The gallery will be open daily. Browse and enjoy art, fine dining and the sunset. A portion of the art sale proceeds benefits the work of DVHCV. The not-for-profit organization donates funds to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Hospice, dental programs in local schools, and also offers monetary aid to area residents in need.     Deerhill Inn ~ A Four Season Getaway

    Wile away the hours just relaxing at Deerhill Inn. Spring offers wildflowers throughout our grounds. Summer offers a dip in the pool or lounging in the sun. Fall and Winter offer crackling fires in our living room and upstairs common room. Play games, drink wine, watch TV, read a book, get to know other guests. Enjoy yourself!

    Alpine Skiing

    Deerhill is close to a number of fantastic ski resorts the closest being Mount Snow, just 2 miles up Route 100. Mount Snow offers a variety of downhill terrain including a two-mile-long novice trail from the summit, 100-yard-wide intermediate trails and the expert North Face that includes Ripcord, Mount Snow's steepest trail and one of the steepest in New England. Other nearby resorts include: Stratton Mountain, Okemo or Haystack Mountain.

    Boating and Fishing

    The Mount Snow Valley is an ideal fishing destination - especially from April to October during trout season. Popular fishing spots are the Deerfield River, its tributaries and the 300 foot-wide Flats where the river empties into the Harriman and Somerset Reservoirs.

    Cross Country Ski Areas

    Meander and explore the snow-covered forest on cross country skis. With trails that range from novice to pro, Timber Creek - Country Ski Center and Prospect Mountain (802-442-2575) offer a wonderful winter world experience in the Vermont mountains.

    Horseback Riding

    Experience a bit of local history, culture, music and artistic expression at our area museums and monuments. The Memorial Hall Center for the Arts in Wilmington offers a summer/fall season that includes classical, blues, jazz, and folk concerts, at least one play from a local community theatre troupe, a visual art exhibition, and a film series.     Mountain Biking

    The Mountain Biking Capital of the East, nearby Mount Snow area offers terrific mountain biking with over 45 miles of mountain bike terrain consisting of single-track, old town roads and ski trails.

    Places to Investigate

    • Adam's Farm, a working sixth-generation farm in southern Vermont, offers Afternoon Tea, Knitting Circles and Spinning Bees, plus agricultural interactive experiences and Vermont sleigh rides for the whole family.
    • Olallie Daylily Gardens offers organicanlly grown daylilies in more than 1000 varieties as well as potted perennials, shrubs and trees.
    • Weston Priory is a monastery of Benedictine monks in nearby Weston that welcomes visitors and information seekers. The monks wonderful music is on sale both onsite and on their website.
